For the last few weeks, my google WiFi mesh network drops connection to the internet at least once a day. There are 6 APs. I have Xfinity internet with an X1 router. No WiFi or routing turned on. I’m just bridging the connection. I then connect directly to the main Google AP/Router.
I have a DSL Motorola modem w/ Linksys Wireless G router. When I quit working on the computer for the night I leave it in hibernation mode. When I get up in the morning and shake the computer to get it out of hibernation mode i click on IE 8 icon and my home page comes up, so far so good, a couple of seconds later my internet connection is lost. The voice service is still connected to their modem. This evening I had a diconnection and the Event Log from the modem looks ( this was one reason why I decided to have my own modem) as follows: The symptoms are the Voice signal will drom first and then the internet connection will drop next. I may get them to swap the modem, and prepare to set up the connection the same way as the other one in the house by using a router and setting up the modem/router combo from Rogers as just a modem.
May 28, 2020 · Loose coax cable can cause intermittent connections and internet connection drops. THIRD STEP: If you have a splitter (your coax cable splits into your TV cable box and your cable modem), remove the splitter and connect your modem directly to the wall jack using your coax cable. See if you get connection drops. If you do, the splitter is bad.
Hello, for the past several months I have noticed that my internet connection keeps dropping for about 10 seconds or so, then coming back. My wireless internet connection drops off for no reason at all! Have you called your ISP(Internet Service Provider such as AT&T or Comcast) only to have them tell you there is nothing wrong with your internet connection? Chances are they are right and you just need to change your WiFi routers wireless channel. This is the best first step.
